Avoid drinking your calories to prevent adding tons of empty calories to your day & extra pounds to your waistline. It takes about 12-25 min. for your brain to recognize that you're full after eating. That's why it's a good rule of thumb to wait 20 min before going for second plates of food. Your brain does NOT register fullness from liquid calories the same way as chewing food. Therefore, you're less likely to compensate by eating less food later when you drink calories. BUT, your body still stores the extra calories the same - as fat. So Drink Water! Add lemon, orange or cucumber slices for flavor!
