CONGRATULATIONS TO LISA! One of our October 2013 60-Day Body Transformation Winners!
Lisa joined our Challenge on August 1st and was ready to commit! She has two children in elementary school and just turned 40 years old this past May. What a way to begin her 40th Birthday year!
Lisa began our Challenge ready to make some changes and get back into an active lifestyle. Lisa attends bootcamp 3-4 times/week, and made sure she always incoporated her supplemental workouts during the week as well. She adapted a Clean Eating plan and retrained her brain to crave exercise for stress relief instead of food. That's a very important mental hurdle.
60 days is not a long period of time, but in that time with a new perspective on nutrition and exercise, she lost 14 lbs, 4% body fat, gained 2 lbs of lean muscle, and lost a total of 7.75" on her body, and 12 lbs of fat! That's amazing results. Lisa made huge strides in her fitness during this time as well, increased her speed, strength, endurance, and form during her workouts (as evidenced by her before and after fitness testing results!). Now her IronMan-participant husband works to keep up with her during their workouts together!
Congratulations, Lisa!! You showed up every day with a smile on your face, demonstrated commitment, patience and kept us laughing at bootcamp!
"I learned that there truly is a fundamental difference between dieting and adopting a clean eating lifestyle. My diets have all failed in the past because they were extreme and not sustainable long term. I almost didn't do the challenge this time because I knew I had two big trips planned during the 60 days. But a clean eating lifestyle, along with consistent exercise, allows for cheat days, trips, and everything in life that we cannot realistically avoid forever. I have lost pounds and inches and although I am not yet where I want to be I feel like I have a solid plan for the future." --Lisa
