Who's Doing Tabata Training??
The idea behind tabata workouts is to add short, high intensity interval training to produce the same and even better results that long, steady-state cardio and strength routines will, and in a shorter amount of time. Intense blasts of working close to 80% of your max effort burns more calories and conditions your body to decrease recovery time. Tabata training increases strength, power and cardio endurance all in one short workout. Plus, these high intensity blasts boost your metabolism for several hours following the completion of your workout, putting your body in fat-burning mode even after you finish working out. So what is it? Tabata workouts are structured intervals which include a 20-sec. high-intensity anaerobic work interval followed by a 10-second rest, repeated. Each exercise is performed @ fast pace, doing as many repetitions as possible in 20 sec, while maintaining proper body alignment & full range of motion. Then you Rest 10–20 seconds between work intervals. In the circuit shown, you repeat each work-rest cycle 2X per exercise. Do this one and tell me what you think!
